Deposit Return System

Return the packaging. Recover the deposit. We close the loop.

The DRS operates through the retail network: the consumer returns eligible packaging at an RVM or manual point, and the system sends it on for sorting and recycling.

Explanatory diagrams

How packaging, money and data move through the DRS

Redesigned visual diagrams that quickly explain the recycling process, the national network and participant roles.

Recycling process

The packaging loop from consumer to recycling

Packaging is returned through retail, collected through logistics, verified in the counting centre and sent to recyclers to re-enter the economy.

Operational flow

Four simple steps, one controlled loop

The process is designed as a retail experience: fast for the consumer, clear for the retailer and traceable for the system.

Purchase

The eligible product is sold with the deposit shown separately.

02

Storage

The packaging remains empty, intact and with a readable label.

04

Sorting

Return infrastructure

RVM, manual point and sorting centre in one system
