Where the financial resources come from
Producer contributions
Producers and importers pay contributions per packaging item placed on the market, according to the EPR principle.

Material recovery
Revenue from selling recyclable materials (PET, aluminium, glass) to processors.
Unclaimed deposits
Deposit amounts not recovered by consumers remain in the system to cover operational costs.
Every resource in the system is directed toward achieving the 90% collection targets, in line with EU standards.
How money flows through the system
The producer applies the deposit
Adds the deposit value to the product delivery price
The retailer transfers the deposit
Includes the deposit in the final price, visible on the receipt
The consumer pays the deposit
Pays the product price plus deposit at checkout
Refund on return
Eco-Ret reimburses the retailer and the consumer receives the deposit back
